Scooba's Green Care

How It Works

Upon thorough saturation of the entire plant, our specialised application adheres to the targeted insects, egg cases, or larvae. Its active ingredients disrupt the respiratory and digestive systems of pests, penetrating their bodies to induce dehydration. This method ensures pests remain vulnerable, as they cannot develop immunity against suffocation or dehydration.

To achieve optimal results, it is essential to fully saturate the affected plants. Direct contact with the insect is necessary for suffocation or dehydration to occur; without it, the product’s effectiveness is compromised.

Our unique formula provides comprehensive insect and disease control with just one application in many cases. For persistent issues, repeated treatments may be necessary to completely eradicate the problem.

What sets our product apart:

Soft body insects, their eggs and larvae are affected on contact

The smaller the insect the faster it works. Larger soft body insects may take longer to suffocate or dehydrate, or may require repeat application. Upon contact, our product quietly begins its lethal effect.

Mildew, mould, and fungus spores controlled on contact, can also be used as a preventative

Can last up to a week and a half when mixed
Needs to be stored in a cool dry place, with a tightly sealed lid. No open containers
When using again later, you need to shake very well, clear the lines of your sprayer and shake every 5 minutes during use

Ingredients

Ingredient breakdown:

Several simple high quality ingredients, using biodegradable, food grade, organic, non_GMO and/or cosmetic grade ingredients. Overall, your foliar spray contains a combination of ingredients that can potentially deter pests, enhance nutrient absorption, and improve the overall health of your plants.

Active Ingredients:

Soy Oil: Can act as a natural spreader/sticker, helping the foliar spray adhere to plant leaves. It can also suffocate soft-bodied insects by clogging their spiracles, making it effective against certain pests. Additionally, soy oil can provide some essential fatty acids that may benefit plant health

Peppermint Oil: Is known for its insect-repellent properties. It can deter many common garden pests, such as aphids, ants, and spiders. It also has a pleasant aroma

Citric Acid: Acts as a natural preservative and adjust the pH of the spray. It can also help in breaking down mineral deposits on plant leaves, making it easier for the plant to absorb nutrients

Inert Ingredients:

Plant based Soap: Surfactants help in breaking the surface tension of the spray solution, ensuring better coverage on plant leaves. Yucca extract is a natural surfactant that can enhance the effectiveness of your foliar spray by allowing it to spread more evenly

Isopropyl Alcohol: Can be used as a solvent to dissolve essential oils and other ingredients. It can also help in drying out pests and their eggs. However, it’s important to be cautious with alcohol concentration, as high concentrations might harm plant tissues

Sodium Citrate: Is a salt of citric acid and can act as a stabiliser and pH adjuster in your spray solution. It helps in maintaining the stability of the formulation

Water: Purified and free from contaminants. Using clean water is crucial to prevent clogging spray nozzles and ensuring the effectiveness of the spray solution

This concentrate is formulated with both natural and organic ingredients and has a 4 year shelf life if stored in cool dark place, with a tightly sealed lid
